Information about the meeting

  • When does the meeting take place?

    The meeting starts on Friday, June 21st, 2024 and ends on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024.

  • Approved vehicles

    The following original vehicles are permitted - also with contemporary tuning and / or modification - that would receive German TÜV and German H license plate approval:


    - KdF cars, Split Window and Oval Beetles

     

    - Type 82 (VW Kübelwagen) 1940-1945

     

    - Type 128 and 166 (VW Schwimmwagen)

     

    - Type 2 up to production date 28/02/1955 and chassis no. 20-117901 (Barndoor)

     

    - Karmann Ghia from 1955 until the model change in August 1959 (1st series)

     

    - Special bodies

     

    Limited to a maximum of 300 cars!

  • Can I bring a trailer?

    Yes, because not every old VW comes to Bad Camberg on its own wheels. 


    From Friday, June 21st, 2024, 12 noon, the trailer parking will be at the following address:


    Lahnstr. 12, 65520 Bad Camberg

  • Nearest airport

    The nearest airport is called Frankfurt Airport  and is located in Frankfurt am Main.  


    IATA code: FRA, ICAO code: EDDF

    Distance: A good 30 minutes by car, just under 45 minutes by train to Bad Camberg.

     

    Alternatively, there is Cologne Bonn Airport "Konrad Adenauer",

    IATA code: CGN, ICAO code: EDDK

    Distance: A good 90 minutes by car.

     

    The third is Düsseldorf Airport.

    IATA code: DUS, ICAO code: EDDL

    Distance: approx. 2 hours by car.

     

    A fourth, smaller airport is Frankfurt-Hahn or Hahn Airport.

    IATA code: HHN, ICAO code: EDFH

    Caution! It is not near Frankfurt, but a good 100 minutes by car from Bad Camberg.

  • Railway connection

    All trains (except ICE, other route) on the Frankfurt - Cologne line stop at Bad Camberg station. It's a good 10 minute walk from the train station to the event site.  


    The nearest ICE train station is in Limburg-Süd, one motorway exit further towards Cologne, approx. 20km.

  • Tourist destinations

    Nikolaus August Otto Museum:

    The inventor of the Otto engine(!) was born just over 35km from Bad Camberg. Just under 45 minutes by car.
